Solution Architect (CIM)

OMNETRIC Group is looking for a candidate with a background of development, design, delivery, or implementation of IT-OT enterprise integration solutions with particular focus on the implementation gas or power systems e.g. EMS, ADMS, and SCADA.

Description

You should have extensive experience in delivering full scale, end to end integration solutions with a detailed knowledge of MOM, ESB, SOA, integration patterns and technologies.

You should have extensive experience in IEC CIM standards, supporting domain model design, extension and profiling. 

You will work in an OMNETRIC Group team environment and provide enterprise integration content knowledge in an architectural manner supporting solution, estimation, design and integration through the entire delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

You should have strong experience of working with enterprise integration management system, particularly with utilities and/or energy clients. You will also have full life-cycle application experience which is coupled with a strong understanding of the inherent business challenges and processes in moving to a Smart enabled utility. 

Participate on teams of Project Managers, Solutions Architects and other Solution Engineers. 

Provide work estimates to be used in project planning. 

Provide status updates to be used in project tracking. 

Design enterprise integrations solutions using SOA solutions and patterns

Designing workflows, new processes, data flows and integrations with existing systems and business practices. 

Create and deliver end user training and workshops through on-site implementation test cycle. 

Create and support test plans. 

Provide technical assistance with the creation of operational processes. 

Identify, log, track and assist in the resolution of software and process issues. 

Provide the first tier of support for technical questions on software functionality from end-users, internal and external customers. 

Successful candidates will also have the following experience

Excellent experience in SOA Architecture and solutions

Excellent experience in Domain Model design and implementation

Experience with more than one MOM/ESB products: JBOSS Fuse, Mule, IBM MQ, IBM ESB, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, Oracle Fusion, SAP PI, and BizTalk

Experience in integration around GIS, SAP, ERP, EAM systems

Experience in energy utilities solutions: EMS, DMS, OMS, SCADA, MDM

Experience in CIM 61970, 61968, and Multispeak standards

Experience in security standards around utility business  

Java and C++ language experience

Oracle database solution and tools skills

Web services, XML, XSD, WSDLs, SOAP, REST, JMS, HTTP/HTTPs, BPEL, and other SOA based integration technologies

Security standards at protocol and messaging level

Unix/Linux navigation and system administration.

Full Product / Software Development Lifecycle experience, including definition, requirements gathering, design, configuration and delivery 

Strong problem-solving, statistical and analytical skills 

Comfortable with working in front of customers and driving installation and deployment standards.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

The position is home based, while you are not visiting clients. In general, Solution Engineers will spend 2 weeks per month on the client site in locations throughout the EMEA region.
